18 February 2008 / Learning in Mediated Cultures
Prior to coming to class tonight, please read Engaging Technology in Theological Education. In it you’ll find an explanation of the theory behind what we’re doing in this class, and some examples of weaving pop culture and theology together.
Please also make sure that you have set up a blog and begun posting to it. You might want to “wonder out loud” about your own learning goals for the course, your choice of pop culture “oeuvre,” the moment of change in your own life that will be the kernel of your story video, and so on.
Helpful resources include: The Machine is Us/ing Us, Information Revolution, A Vision of Students Today, and Did You know?
PLEASE NOTE: We are all invited to worship with the Redeemer Lutheran community this coming Sunday, February 24th, at 10:30 am. I hope you’ll make the effort to come (and bring your family!) if at all possible.
